November 2007
Dear Friends,
"Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us
with benefits, even the God of our salvation"
--Psalm 68:19.
"Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits"--Psalm
103:2.
"In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in
Christ Jesus..."--I Thessalonians 5:18.
At this special time of the year, we here at
Silent Word Ministries, pause and give thanks for all the
benefits the Lord daily gives. We are fully aware that
"Every good and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh
down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness
neither shadow of turning" (James 1:17). We are also
fully aware that the Father uses people like you to
channel these gifts. "Give, and it shall be given unto
you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and
running over, shall men give into your bosom..." (Luke
6:38). Thank you for allowing God to use you to bless us.
This month we want to better
introduce you to Silent Word Ministries Home Office
Operations. Of course, you already know of the beautiful and
efficient buildings the Lord has provided. We are still amazed
and excited about all that the Lord has provided through His
people. The facility houses the bookkeeping department (clearing
house for the twelve missionary families), film studio, offices,
print shop, shipping department, prophet’s chamber, fellowship
center/class rooms, the Merrill Chapel, and Silent
Word Ministries International Headquarters. Bimonthly the
office is a beehive of activity as staff and volunteers prepare
the mailing of
The Silent Word, a free
newspaper for the Deaf. A monthly operating budget of
$6,500 which includes utilities, insurance, supplies and
needed home office operations. This need is met from office
monthly support, gifts, meetings, the sale of literature,
videos, books, and materials. Any income above the
$6,500 is used to print free tracts, the free
newspaper, the free Deaf Bible Correspondence Institute
and to help fund special mission projects.Another important aspect of the home
office operations is the ministry of Missionary Nicole
Condra. She is a compassionate, Christian young lady, the
daughter of Missionaries Reed and Donna Condra. She is skilled
in Sign Language and has a congenial and happy spirit. Nicole
keeps the inner workings of the office running smoothly. She
takes care of the phone, the sending of orders, the mailing of
the donation receipts and monthly letter, the processing of
missionary prayer letters, the schedules of each missionary, and
many other duties that pop up on a day to day basis. Nicole’s
support level is only $1,500 monthly. (Currently she
receives monthly $500 from the office operations and $200 from
gifts and support.) Would you be interested in including Nicole
in your monthly giving or a special one-time gift? She is
worthy of your support. We are blessed to have her on SWM’s
team.
Please read the prayer and praise reports on
the back of this letter. God continues to greatly bless the work
of the team He has brought together at Silent Word Ministries.
Again, we offer our thanksgiving to you whose giving
makes it possible for us to "give ourselves to the ministry
of the Word."
Gratefully,
Ted and Carlene Camp,
Founders

Missionary Report
Praise Reports - As of November
Jon and Diane Barr
and Allen Snare had a great
first-time Fantastic Saturday in Hampton, Virginia.
There were 128 people there and 2 Deaf ladies accepted
Christ as Savior! A hearing lady was saved after the
Sunday morning service. Another Deaf lady was saved at
the D-Day in Columbus, Ohio.
David and Vicki Bennett
have a new supporting church! They traveled to SC and
FL recently to seek more support and to be involved
in a missions conference. David also represented SWM
International at a Christian college with the
goal of presenting the need for laborers among the Deaf
worldwide.
Jim and Terry Bracelin
shared their ministry in a missions conference and a
Deaf Awareness Sunday in two cities in PA. They had one
saved at the D-Day in Northampton, PA. The Sunday
following their Fantastic Saturday in NJ they had 13
saved!
Reed Condra
recently preached for a nearby Christian Deaf college
and spoke for another one in Ohio. Also, after
several months of Nicole and Joel (Condra "kids")
witnessing to their neighbor, Larkin, Reed was able to
lead him to the Lord.
Mike Green preached for the D-Day in Columbus, Ohio. The
next day he used the Evangecube to present the Gospel in
Children’s Church. Two of the children got saved! Mike
also represented SWM at the ASL Expo in Atlanta,
GA, and the Deaf Fair in Columbus, OH. In both
places he was able to give out tracts, The Silent
Word newspapers, and other SWM materials.
David and Cathy Harrison
report a very rewarding trip to MN.
They taught Sunday School and preached, taught ASL classes
and gave testimony at a Bible College, and conducted an area
workshop on Hearing Loss and Accessibility. Back home, they
did field evangelism at the North Georgia
Agricultural Fair. During October they had 66 professions
of salvation.
Allen Snare was
involved with Mike Green in the ASL Expo in Atlanta.
He also preached in Bristol, VA, and one Deaf lady accepted
Christ.
Paul Strosnider
continues to raise his support while
pastoring the Deaf church. He recently presented his burden
for the Deaf in a missions conference in
IL.
Prayer Requests - As of November
Jon and Diane Barr
have meetings scheduled in FL and WV
this next month. In both places they will also spend a
little time with family.
David and Vicki Bennett
ask you to pray for more opportunities
for them to preach in missions conferences and to help
local churches with their missions programs. David will
travel in January (2008) to several locations in
India. There he will be preaching, teaching, and
challenging Bible College students for Deaf
ministry in their country. The financial need is
$4,000. If you would like to help, please designate
your gift to Bennett - India Trip.
Jim and Terry Bracelin
currently have about 15-20 people in
their Sign Language class in Hanover, PA. Pray
for this church to reach the Deaf in their area. Jim
will also be preaching in two different prisons
this month. One prison has Deaf inmates. Please pray
they will attend the services.
Reed and Donna Condra
request your continued prayer for their
son, Benjamin, as he and his Marine battery soon
deploy for California and then on to Iraq.
Mike and Kim Green
will be traveling soon to the Grand
Bahamas to preach a Deaf revival.
Marcie Rosales
is planning two foreign trips in
2008. Bolivia in July and to South Africa
in September. Please pray for the Lord to prepare hearts
in those places. If you would like to give toward the
trips, designate gifts to Rosales - Mission Trips.
Allen Snare
is now in Mexico with
missionary Jim Walterhouse. They are having
special services to celebrate the Deaf church’s
anniversary. Allen has a couple other foreign mission
trips scheduled for the early part of 2008. Please pray
for God’s blessing and souls to be saved on these trips.
Paul Strosnider requests prayer
for church member, Joan, who has been
hospitalized for 3 weeks in critical condition.
