February 2008
Dear Friends,
Greetings from Silent Word Ministries. It is exciting to see
the Lord's continued blessings! Many of you who support our
ministry may not know Sign Language, but you have been faithful
to support and send us into the Deaf world. Because of your
support, prayers, and help, many Deaf will one day hear in
Heaven! Our ministry's mission statement is, "But we will give
ourselves ... to the ministry of the word ... to Deaf people"
(Acts 6:4).
Doors of opportunity for the Deaf in India are being explored
by Missionary David Bennett. At this writing he is there
teaching and challenging pastors for deaf ministries. One
interested Christian traveled over 3,000 miles from Myanmar to
be with David to learn how to minister to Deaf people.
Additionally this year, SWM missionaries will be making mission
trips to Africa, the Bahamas and the Ukraine. Here is the
States, spring Fantastic Saturdays are scheduled beginning
February 23 in Florida, Georgia, West Virginia, Delaware,
Maryland, New York, South Carolina, Arizona and California.
Please pray for Jon Barr and his family. His father, Joel
Barr (Ormond Beach, Florida), unexpectedly went home to be with
the Lord on February 1, 2008. He and his brothers, Mark and
Phil, need wisdom for the care of their mother, Mary, age 76.
Because of medical issues, she needs constant care.
Missionaries Jim and Terry Bracelin announce the birth of
their second grand daughter, Maya Jane, on February 1, 2008. She
weighed 7 lbs. 4 oz. Her parents are Dave and Jamie (Bracelins'
oldest daughter) Faith.
Thank you for your faithful prayers and support for SWM and
its missionaries serving to reach Deaf people worldwide. We have
learned that God uses ordinary people like us to accomplish
extraordinary things for Himself. You are a part of all that is
accomplished.
In His Name,
Ted Camp, Founder
